Timimoun Hosts the 7th Edition of The International Saharan Tourism Festival

Timimoun has been selected to host the 7th edition ofThe International SaharanTourism Festival, thanks to its remarkable natural and cultural assets that make it one of the most captivating destinations for lovers of the Algerian Sahara.

Located in the southwest of Algeria, the region is traditionally known as Tigoura­rine and carries the nickname “The Red Oasis”, attributed to the distinctive red hue of its traditional ksour and buildings constructed from clay, adobe, or stone. This unique architectural style blends simplicity with remarkable craftsmanship, offering an unmistakable visual identity.
